Devlog #2: Out of GameJam Phase!


Lots of things are changing, one of the biggest changes is the new tutorial system.


As you can see, all the controls are being highlighted, if you miss them you are one of if not the least perceptive person in the world. I've also been changing how you get the tutorials started. Right now, the starter tutorial (in the two new images) is the only tutorial available, and in the future, you will unlock tutorials as you get find new items, get to new areas, or you just interact with certain things in the world. One of the tutorials that I will be adding soon will show you how to equip items and weapons, which will become available when you pick up items such as the Lantern, or the coming Axe (which will come in the first Patreon-only beta).

Although not important, I decided to add Controller-Support since it would be pretty simple and quick to add. You may be able to see some controls in the images, I also hope to add key-mapping in the options menu soon, but it'll take a while to set up and require lots of changes.

Another huge announcement: The first Alpha build will become available for free on June 9th along with the GoGodotJam wrap-up!
Although I would LOVE to see the judges play the alpha, I'm guessing it would be unlikely since there're over 100 other submissions to go through, which if you guys haven't already, you should go play all the other amazing submissions to the GoGodotJam, I am probably one of the lowest ranking games available, so check them out too!

One of my favorite games and one that I cannot suggest enough is Infinite Mining Drone! Remember to read the instructions first though.
